The 2025 Premier League roadshow made its way to Robin Hood country for Night 6 at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. The previous week saw Luke Littler claim a Night 5 victory in Brighton, adding five crucial points to his tally and closing the gap to just two points behind Luke Humphries in the race for the top spot.

Quarter-Final 1: Luke Littler 6-4 Luke Humphries
A heavyweight clash between the world’s top two players saw Luke Littler take on Luke Humphries. With just two points separating them in the Premier League table and their head-to-head in this year’s competition tied at one win apiece, this was their third meeting of the season, and the stakes were high.
The first four legs went with throw, but Humphries struck first in leg five. Littler missed the bull for a 161 checkout and then squandered another dart at double 6, allowing Humphries to break with a 12-darter on double 12.
However, Humphries couldn’t consolidate, missing two darts at double in leg six. Littler punished him with a clinical 110 checkout. The match swung further when Littler levelled at 4-4 with a spectacular 164 checkout after Humphries made the mistake of leaving a bogey number, 165.
Littler held in leg nine, taking out double 8 in a 16-darter before sealing victory in style with a 14-darter, punishing Humphries' loose setup play to secure a 6-4 win.
Match Stats:
Littler: 100.15 average, 3x 180s, Checkout %: 46.15% (6/13)
Humphries: 99.49 average, 1x 180, Checkout %: 30.77% (4/13)
Littler’s victory brought him level with Humphries on 15 points, boosting his chances of a charge for the top spot later in the evening.
Quarter-Final 2: Rob Cross 6-2 Chris Dobey
A battle between sixth and seventh in the table saw Rob Cross take on Chris Dobey, who was desperate to end a four-week run without points since his opening-night final in Belfast.
Cross set the tone immediately with a superb 144 checkout—two treble 18s and double 18—while Dobey was waiting on 65. Dobey responded with a comfortable 16-dart hold, but his only lead of the match came in leg three when he took out 80 under pressure to break for a 2-1 advantage.
The lead was short-lived, though. Cross produced a brilliant 171 setup to leave 100, which he took out in two darts for an 11-darter, breaking straight back. His precision continued in leg five with a 168 setup to leave his favourite double 18, which he pinned with his second dart for 3-2.
Dobey’s finishing then let him down. He missed one dart at tops in leg six and was punished with a clinical 50 finish by Cross, who opened up the first two-leg gap at 4-2.
More errors followed in leg seven. Needing 96, Dobey wired the treble 20, then gambled on two double 19s but missed the board entirely. Cross, ever reliable, pinned double 18 yet again to move within a leg of victory.
The match ended in the eighth leg as Dobey missed two darts at tops for a 100 checkout before Cross wrapped up a dominant 6-2 win with a 72 finish.
Match Stats:
Cross: 100.90 average, 1x 180, Checkout %: 85.71% (6/7)
Dobey: 98.79 average, 3x 180s, Checkout %: 28.57% (2/7)
This was Cross’ fourth quarter-final win in six Premier League nights, taking his tally to eight points, though he is still chasing his first final.
Dobey’s fifth consecutive QF exit this campaign highlighted the need for improvement in his checkout percentage and setup play if he’s to have any chance of climbing the table in the coming weeks.
Quarter-Final 3: Gerwyn Price 6-4 Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting entered this match still searching for his first Premier League points, while Gerwyn Price sat just one point outside the playoff spots.
Price made a strong start, breaking throw in the opening leg. Bunting responded with a break of his own before holding in 15 darts, taking out 80 to move 2-1 ahead. He had a chance to extend his lead but missed a dart at tops for 3-1, allowing Price to step in and eventually pin double 5, followed by a trademark roar.
Price seized control in leg five with a blistering 12-darter, firing in a 180 before landing a brilliant 141 checkout. But Bunting responded in style, producing an 11-darter to break straight back.
The match saw multiple breaks of throw before Price sealed the win in the tenth leg, securing a clinical 6-4 victory. Despite Bunting’s late surge and a stunning 170 checkout, it was not enough as Price’s timing was spot on.
Match Stats:
Price: 97.86 average, 3x 180s, Checkout %: 50% (6/12)
Bunting: 102.11 average, 4x 180s, Checkout %: 44.44% (4/9)
Price moved back into the playoff spots on nine points, with hopes of adding more later in the night.
Meanwhile, Bunting remains rooted at the bottom of the table with zero points, despite some valiant performances.
Quarter-Final 4: Michael van Gerwen 6-4 Nathan Aspinall
Van Gerwen and Aspinall entered this clash level on eight points, with the Asp narrowly ahead in the standings after reaching two finals in the opening five weeks.
The match began with routine holds of throw, as both players settled in at 1-1. Aspinall then missed three darts at a double for a hold, followed by a crucial miss at double 10 for a break. Van Gerwen capitalised, stepping in to establish a 3-1 lead.
Aspinall responded with a solid 14-dart hold, but Van Gerwen’s own double trouble let him down. The Dutchman missed five darts at a double in leg six, allowing Aspinall to level the match at 3-3.
Aspinall then produced a stunning 148 checkout to hold throw, but Van Gerwen fired back with a steady 15-dart hold to make it 4-4.
The match turned when neither player hit a treble for 27 darts between them. Van Gerwen finally made his move, taking a crucial 171 to leave 98 and breaking throw in a scrappy 22-dart leg. He then wrapped up the win with a clinical 14-darter in leg ten to secure a 6-4 victory.
Match Stats:
Van Gerwen: 95.13 average, 4x 180s, Checkout %: 31.58% (6/19)
Aspinall: 89.04 average, 1x 180, Checkout %: 36.36% (4/11)
Van Gerwen moved into third place on 10 points, while Aspinall slipped to sixth following the defeat.
Aspinall left the stage visibly frustrated after slipping up in what was a crucial match against a direct playoff rival.
Semi-Final 1: Luke Littler 6-3 Rob Cross
Rob Cross was bidding for his first final of the Premier League campaign, while Luke Littler was chasing his fourth in just six nights. The head-to-head record heavily favoured Littler, who had won nine of their previous 11 meetings.
Cross made a blistering start, but Littler responded in style, holding in 14 darts before nailing a spectacular 167 checkout to level the match at 2-2. Littler continued to dominate, producing outrageous bullseye finishes, including a 164 finish and a 127 checkout for another 12-darter to move ahead 4-3.
The match was wrapped up in leg nine, with Littler sealing a 6-3 victory after a brief wobble on the outer ring—he had been 5/5 on checkouts before the final leg.
Match Stats:
Littler: 107.82 average, 6x 180s, Checkout %: 60% (6/10)
Cross: 103.88 average, 1x 180, Checkout %: 75% (3/4)
Littler moved one point clear of Luke Humphries at the top of the standings. While Cross missed out on his first final, he produced another brilliant performance, but Littler proved more explosive in the latter stages of the match.
Semi-Final 2: Gerwyn Price 6-1 Michael van Gerwen
In their second meeting of the Premier League season, with Van Gerwen having won their first encounter, the two players were separated by just a point in the live league table as they entered the semi-final.
Price made a blistering start, taking out 85 on the bull to hold throw. After some missed chances for both players on the outer ring, Price capitalised to take a 2-0 lead.
He then extended his advantage with a stunning 128 checkout for 3-0, before storming into a dominant 5-0 lead. Van Gerwen finally got on the board with a 15-dart hold, but Price sealed the win in style, wrapping up a 6-1 victory in 13 darts.
Match Stats:
Price: 107.25 average, 4x 180s, Checkout %: 54.55% (6/11)
Van Gerwen: 97.58 average, 2x 180s, Checkout %: 20% (1/5)
This was Price’s strongest performance of the Premier League season, as he annihilated Van Gerwen, posting a superb 107.25 average.
Meanwhile, Van Gerwen, still without a final appearance, remained in 4th place, thanks to a strong quarter-final record with 5 wins out of 6 in that stage.
🏆 The Final: Gerwyn Price 6-3 Luke Littler
For the third consecutive week, Luke Littler found himself in the final, aiming to solidify his place at the top of the Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Gerwyn Price—competing in his second final in six nights—had battled his way back into the playoff spots.
Missed chances on the outer ring proved costly for Littler, allowing Price to step in and claim a 2-0 advantage. Price kept up the pressure with an excellent 14-darter to extend his lead to 3-0 and was visibly enjoying the control he had in the final. Littler did find a hold of throw to get on the board, but Price then seized control with a 123 checkout on the bull to extend his lead to 4-1.
Littler closed the gap to 4-3, brilliantly denying Price opportunities on the outer ring as he built momentum. However, Price sealed the win with clinical outs on his favoured double 20, securing a 6-3 victory.
Match Stats:
Price: 94.10 average, 2x 180s, Checkout %: 54.55% (6/11)
Littler: 103.39 average, 7x 180s, Checkout %: 23.08% (3/13)
This win saw Price draw level with Littler and Luke Humphries at two nightly titles each, firmly securing third place in the standings.
Price also maintained his impressive record against Littler, stretching it to six consecutive wins in a row, proving his unmatched dominance and psychological edge over the World Champion.
