The 2025 Premier League is entering its final stretch, with just three regular nights remaining before the Play-Offs at the O2, where the trophy will be lifted. The race for the top four is heating up, and with key matchups on the card, every result could prove decisive.

The action heads to the First Direct Arena in Leeds, where a passionate home crowd is sure to create an electric atmosphere to match the high-stakes drama on stage.

Night 13 Birmingham Recap: Littler’s Record-Breaking Win

While Night 13 in Birmingham wasn't the most high-octane evening of the season, it still delivered some key moments in the play-off race.

Most notably, Luke Littler claimed his fifth Night win of the campaign, becoming the first player to reach that milestone since this format was introduced in 2022. The win officially booked his place at the O2 and put him in a commanding position to finish top, currently holding a nine-point lead over second place.

Michael van Gerwen reached just his second final of the season. Although he’s still without a Night win, his three-point haul was enough to lift him back into fourth place.

Gerwyn Price produced a brilliant comeback from 5-3 down to defeat Luke Humphries 6-5 in their quarter-final, showcasing key finishing under pressure to retain his spot in third.

Fellow play-off contender Nathan Aspinall also picked up two valuable points with a quarter-final win, but dropped out of the top four for the first time since Night 10 in Berlin as a result of van Gerwen’s final run.

Meanwhile, Chris Dobey, Rob Cross, and Stephen Bunting all suffered quarter-final exits. With just three weeks remaining, their play-off hopes are fading fast as the points gap looks increasingly difficult to close.

The Play-Off Picture: Who’s Still in the Race?

With just three nights remaining in the Premier League, the battle for the coveted Play-Off spots is reaching a boiling point. The top four players at the end of the league phase will advance to Finals Night at the O2, and every leg now carries added pressure.

Luke Littler has officially qualified following his fifth Night win of the season. He sits comfortably on 35 points, nine clear of second-placed Luke Humphries on 26. Humphries is also virtually assured of qualification, as no player has ever missed out in this format after reaching 26 points.

Gerwyn Price currently occupies third place with 22 points and three night wins to his name. Just behind him, Michael van Gerwen holds fourth on 20 points, while Nathan Aspinall sits narrowly outside the top four in fifth on 19 points. All three are separated by just three points, but Price’s three night wins could be a key tiebreaker, and a superior leg difference gives him a crucial edge should the table tighten further.

With the fixtures ahead, Price looks well placed to secure his Play-Off spot, leaving Aspinall and van Gerwen likely to battle it out for the final place at the O2.

In sixth and seventh, Rob Cross (14 points) and Chris Dobey (12 points) face a tough challenge, with only a night win in Leeds enough to keep their slim hopes alive heading into the final two weeks.

While Stephen Bunting isn’t yet mathematically eliminated, the odds are stacked against him. ‘The Bullet’ would need to win all three remaining nights and hope for a perfect storm of results elsewhere, which is a scenario that seems all but impossible.

Quarter-Final Fixture Breakdown: What to Expect in Leeds

Let’s take a closer look at the matchups for Night 14 at the First Direct Arena:

Rob Cross vs. Gerwyn Price

Sixth-placed Rob Cross (14 points) faces a must-win clash against third-placed Gerwyn Price (22 points) in the night’s opener. Cross’s play-off charge has stalled, losing four of his last five quarter-finals and yet to reach a final this campaign.

Price has been a top-four regular since Night 5 and has three night wins to his name. While Cross leads their season head-to-head 2-1, Price dominated their last meeting with a 6-2 win in Liverpool. Victory for the Welshman would all but seal his place at the O2, whereas defeat could spell the end for Cross.

Nathan Aspinall vs. Luke Littler

Nathan Aspinall remains firmly in the play-off race and will be eyeing a vital two points as he takes on runaway leader Luke Littler, whose Finals Night spot is already locked in, almost certainly in top spot.

However, Aspinall has struggled badly against ‘The Nuke’, losing 12 of their 13 meetings, including a narrow 6-5 defeat just last week. He’ll need to find something special to break that streak and keep his top-four push alive.

Michael van Gerwen vs. Luke Humphries

Michael van Gerwen moved back into the top four with a runner-up finish in Birmingham and will now aim to solidify that position against Luke Humphries, who sits second in the table and is on the verge of securing qualification.

Humphries is edging their season head-to-head 2-1 and has played with consistency throughout the campaign, even in defeat, as shown by last week’s tight 6-5 loss to Price, averaging 107. With more riding on it for van Gerwen, expect a fired-up performance from the Dutchman.

Stephen Bunting vs. Chris Dobey

The final quarter-final sees Chris Dobey (7th) take on Stephen Bunting (8th), with both players needing a miracle to make the Play-Offs.

Despite each having a night win and a final appearance in Night 11, both have fallen away with consecutive quarter-final exits in Liverpool and Birmingham. This is now a battle for pride, and potentially a spoiler role for the semi-finals.

Final Thoughts: A Crucial Night in Leeds

Night 14 in Leeds promises to be another dramatic evening in the Premier League as the race for the O2 intensifies. With the end of the league phase fast approaching, players are eager to make their mark and build momentum ahead of Finals Night.

At this crucial stage, every match carries extra weight, with valuable points up for grabs and play-off hopes hanging in the balance.

My pick to shine in Leeds and claim the maximum five points, along with the £10,000 winner’s bonus, is Luke Humphries. Despite not lifting a nightly title since Night 4 in Exeter back in March, ‘Cool Hand’ has continued to deliver high-quality performances, reaching three more finals since that win.

Humphries has fond memories of Leeds too, as he won in this very arena during the 2024 Premier League, and with strong recent form and home support behind him once again, he looks well-placed to repeat the feat and seal his spot at the O2.
