The World Series of Darts arrives in Scandinavia this weekend as the 2025 Nordic Darts Masters returns to Forum Copenhagen. Taking place from June 6th to 7th, the event features eight of the PDC’s biggest names facing off against eight Nordic and Baltic representatives in the third World Series invitational of the year.
Previous editions have delivered some memorable moments from Fallon Sherrock’s historic 2021 run to the final, where she narrowly lost out to Michael van Gerwen, to Dimitri Van den Bergh’s dominant title-winning campaign in 2022. Most recently, Gerwyn Price stormed to the crown in 2024 and returns to Copenhagen looking to defend his title.
With a best-of-11 legs format in the opening round, there’s little room for error. The elite PDC stars will need to be sharp from the start as they aim to avoid early upsets and build momentum toward the longer-format semi-finals (best of 13) and final (best of 15).

The Draw:
The draw for the Nordic Darts Masters is based on seedings determined by performances in the opening two World Series events of the year, held in January in Bahrain and the Netherlands.
Here's how the Last 16 shapes up:
(1) Stephen Bunting vs Oskar Lukasiak
Jonny Clayton vs Darius Labanauskas
(4) Luke Littler vs Viktor Tingström
Nathan Aspinall vs Benjamin Drue Reus
(2) Rob Cross vs Andreas Harrysson
Chris Dobey vs Jeffrey de Graaf
(3) Gerwyn Price vs Cor Dekker
Luke Humphries vs Madars Razma
Each match features a PDC World Series invitee competing against a representative from the Nordic or Baltic region. The format is a straight knockout: win three matches and you’ll be playing in Saturday night’s final.
Key Players to Watch
Luke Humphries
Fresh off completing the prestigious PDC Triple Crown, reigning Premier League champion and World No.1 Luke Humphries arrives in Copenhagen full of confidence. His best Nordic Darts Masters result came last year, reaching the semi-finals before a 7–4 defeat to Rob Cross. Despite boasting a glittering CV filled with major titles, Humphries has just one World Series win to his name in New Zealand in 2024 and will be among the favourites to add a second this weekend.
Nathan Aspinall
Aspinall enjoyed a strong Premier League campaign, finishing third overall before falling to eventual winner Humphries at Finals Night in London. Last weekend, he lifted his second career European Tour title in Leverkusen, underlining his growing form. His sole World Series title came at the 2019 US Darts Masters, and with momentum on his side, he’ll back himself to double that tally in Copenhagen.
Luke Littler
Making his Nordic Darts Masters debut, Littler continues to rewrite the record books in what’s already been another stellar season for the teenage sensation after becoming the UK Open Champion. He’s already claimed two World Series titles in Bahrain and Poland in 2024 and will be eager to bounce back after surrendering his Premier League crown to Humphries last month.
Gerwyn Price
Defending champion Gerwyn Price has had a solid 2025 campaign so far, winning three Players Championship events and securing a fourth-place finish in the Premier League. He owns three World Series titles, including two from last year in Australia and Copenhagen, and will be aiming to add another to his illustrious résumé this weekend.
Nordic Challengers: Can They Cause an Upset?
The Nordic and Baltic representatives may enter as heavy underdogs, but they’ll relish the chance to test themselves against the PDC’s elite on home soil.
While history tends to favour the invited stars, the short format always leaves the door open for a shock result or two. With the Copenhagen crowd firmly behind them, expect these regional players to bring passion, pride, and plenty of fire to the oche.
Here are two challengers who could spring a surprise:
Andreas Harrysson - The 50-year-old Swede turned heads on the European Tour last weekend, defeating former World Champions Michael Smith and Raymond van Barneveld in back-to-back matches. If he can replicate that form against Rob Cross, he’ll fancy his chances, especially with Cross struggling for consistency in recent months.
Jeffrey de Graaf - Now representing Sweden, the Dutch-born de Graaf is a capable competitor currently ranked World No. 59. He’s reached two Players Championship finals over the past 18 months and made the last 16 at the 2025 World Championship, where he lost 4–2 to eventual runner-up Michael van Gerwen. With Chris Dobey, one of the less experienced names on the World Series circuit, de Graaf will look to pile on the pressure and pull off a potential upset.
Potential Routes & Talking Points
If the seeded players hold their nerve, fans could be treated to some heavyweight clashes on finals day. A potential Gerwyn Price vs Luke Humphries quarter-final stands out on one side of the draw, while the other features a possible meeting between Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall, another rematch between two members of the Premier League top four.
There’s also the subplot of World Series ranking points, with a strong run here potentially crucial for securing qualification to the end-of-year finals.
Many will be watching to see whether Humphries and Littler are on course to face off in yet another final, with both drawn in opposite halves. However, the remaining 14 players will be just as determined to spoil the script and lift the trophy themselves on Saturday evening.
Final Thoughts
The Nordic Darts Masters offers a unique showcase, pitting PDC elite talent against regional stars from the Nordic and Baltic region. With a packed crowd in Copenhagen and a short format across the weekend, drama is virtually guaranteed.
Stephen Bunting and Rob Cross claimed the opening two World Series titles of the year in Bahrain and the Netherlands, respectively. While Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are rightly the favourites with the bookmakers, don’t overlook Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall, who are building momentum and increasingly look like serious contenders for every title they contest. Meanwhile, the likes of Bunting, Cross, Dobey, and Clayton will all feel they have a point to prove.
Expect thrills, upsets, and a weekend of top-tier action as the World Series continues to highlight darts on a truly global stage.
